Let’s begin here

Melissa’s yoga practice is rooted in her optimism and excitement for life, which is evident through her smile and playful energy. Sharing in life’s energetic journey is a core foundation of her teaching.

With deep spiritual and religious beliefs instilled in her from childhood, Melissa began exploring yoga out of curiosity, discovering it through YouTube videos and online apps. After earning a degree in Sports Psychology from West Virginia University, Melissa relocated to Vail, Colorado, where she was introduced to Integrated Vinyasa by her teacher, Julia Clarke. She found a true connection to this style of practice and pursued studies at the Colorado School of Yoga, completing her 200-hour teacher training in 2017. Since then, she has led weekly classes at various studios, gyms, and community locations across Colorado, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Realizing that slowing down was what she needed to balance her active and adventurous life, she has taken continuing education courses specializing in Lunar Vinyasa and Yin. Melissa strives to make yoga accessible to all through her class sequences, mindful modifications, and a passionate incorporation of music and rhythm. Always eager to learn from her experiences on and off the mat, she challenges her students to do the same. Her classes encourage you to slow down, let loose, and dance with the higher vibrations of life.

We are all creatures of love and deserve to fulfill our true essence.

Currently residing in Roanoke, Virginia, you can find Melissa weekly at Hustle/Haven on Sunday evenings for an hour-long slow flow and yin class.
